Tutorial
Welcome to the Gensat tutorial.
Our images of mouse brain are organized
by gene and age.
Information about the anatomical location
of gene expression in the brain is provided. For example, an annotation
associated with an image may inform database users that a gene is expressed
in the periglomerular cells of the olfactory bulb or in the stria medullaris
thalami.
In this tutorial, we present two tools
for retrieving images and information about them.
1) Gene Search - use this if you want
to see brain images for a particular gene
2) Annotation Search - use this is you
want to retrieve images by using annotation terms such as brain region,
expression level or cell subtype.
New genes and annotations are added to
the database regularly.
